Modified starches made from wheat are a solution for a wide range of industrial tasks. They are used in the production of paints and coatings, paper and paper products, also as wallpaper glue and the thickener for textile printing.
Modification of starch can be aimed at improving the properties of native starch, such as resistance to excessive heating, acid, mechanical attack, time, cooling or freezing; changing the texture of starch; decrease or increase in viscosity; lengthening or shortening of the gelatinization time; stability of viscosity.
